TREATING ACNE AT HOME

There are numerous methods that have been tried to cure acne but all to no avail. Some of these are using products such as exfoliants, deep pore cleansing masque, and even following acne-reducing tips that seem to worsen the condition.

Myths have emerged regarding the causes of acne, including food intake and personal hygiene, and have also generated several treatments that do not help at all.

Most common causes of acne are bacteria and hormones. Acne-causing bacteria are found on the skin which irritates it and, converts the oil produced by the skin into substances that further irritates the skin. Hormones, on the other hand, trigger the oil glands to produce more oil then clog the pores, which results to acne.

Irritation should be minimized when treating at home. The face should be washed in the morning and evening with a mild cleanser. B. Kamin’s Hydrating Acne wash is a mild cleanser specially formulated to treat acne. A topical acne lotion should be applied afterwards. There are many acne lotions in the market that claims effective, but the product that will produce the desired result would be the lotion containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid, which sheds off dead skin cells that blocks the pores. B. Kamin’s Medicated Acne Gel is the perfect acne lotion as it contains the benzoyl peroxide. However, it is still best to consult a dermatologist to determine which home acne treatment product is the best for you.
